Fatima Salijee (Director)
Fatima is an admitted attorney who began practising with the firm Hlatshwayo Du Plessis Van der Merwe Nkaiseng Attorneys (HVDN) and is currently the Managing Director of Salijee Govender Van Der Merwe Incorporated as well as the Managing Director of Aequitas Consultants.
She completed her B. Comm degree with majors in Accounting, Marketing and Law and thereafter successfully completed her LL B degree. She attended the Practical Legal Training School and was awarded with Certificates for, amongst others, Most Outstanding Student Day School 2001 (2) and Most Outstanding Performance: Labour Dispute Resolution. She has further completed ( cum laude) a Program in Forensic and Investigative Auditing.

As a practising attorney since 2003, Fatima has advised client across the public and private sphere (which include listed compaines, parastatals and government Institutions) with their internal industrial relations matters. She is also involved in projects that entail, amongst others, the review and drafting of new policy frameworks. Fatima practises and assists clients in all aspects of Industrial Relations, Administrative and Procurement Law, Contracts etc.
Fatima has also acted as a legal advisor in project management groups, such as FutureLead, a management consultancy, of which Fatima is currently a Director. To this extent, she has participated in various high level projects wherein she has provided specialist Employee Relations, Contractual and Corporate Services.
Fatima has substantial experience in various forums including the Labour Court , Labour Appeal Court, High Court , CCMA (arbitration and mediation), Bargaining Council (arbitration and mediation), internal disciplinary hearings, grievance hearings, AFSA and Tokiso arbitration Panels. She is an active member of the South African Society for Labour Law ( SASLAW).
Fatima is a seasoned investigator and member of the ACFE (SA). She has conducted numerous investigations since 2005 whilst serving as prosecutor for Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, most notably tender fraud involving the procurement of bullet proof vests and drivers licence scam at the EMPD traffic office. Fatima currently manages her own team and is intimately involved in, but not limited to:Managing investigations, Strategic oversight, Analysing evidence, Interviewing witnesses and persons of interest, Risk analysis and mitigation strategies, Investigation in relation to fraud, financial misconduct, procurement; recruitment; misconduct etc.
Fatima is also involved in training and consulting in the private and public sector on all areas within her expertise. Her experience expands across the following fields: Labour /Employment Law, Administrative Law, Commercial Law, Civil Litigation and Local Government Law.
Dr Annelie Gildenhuys (Director)
Dr Annelie Gildenhuys is an Industrial Sociologist who specialises in Employee Relations, Group Conflict Dynamics, and Diversity Management. Dr Gildenhuys serves as Essential Service Committee member and as Commissioner for the Commission for Employment Equity.
She is an accredited CEDR Commercial and Labour Mediator (2012) and was instrumental in establishing the Bargaining Council for Civil Engineering (BCCEI) where she served as Interim General Secretary of this council. Annelie is a former CCMA Commissioner, trainer, mentor and panellist for several Bargaining Councils since the inception of the CCMA in 1996 until 2011, as well as some alternative private dispute resolution bodies.
Dr Annelie Gildenhuys (Director)
She has re-joined the Tokiso panel as arbitrator, mediator and trainer. Annelie is known for her work with Prof Human in Diversity Management and Leadership.
She is currently presenting an advanced executive programme at University of Pretoria on Sexual Harassment and violence at work. Annelie is a GIBS MBA Research examiner and supervisor in Industrial Relations. She is a qualified Executive Coach (2010) and Master Human Resources Practitioner.
Annelie recently concluded a five-year period as Global Head of Employee Relations Operations for a large Bank and served as ER representative for the Banking Association South Africa (BASA) at Business Unity South Africa (BUSA).
She is formerly the Managing Director of a well-known fully accredited Human Capital consulting firm, where her clients included Business and Labour for more than 16 years. She started her career at the Human sciences Research Council (HSRC) as Labour Economic Researcher, where after she worked as Employee Relations Practitioner.
She is the author of several practical implementation, facilitation, e-learning and DVD guides and often facilitates highly interactive training workshops. She is an accredited facilitator and assessor in HR Unit standards and is an active member of the South African Law Society (SASLAW).
